At first I was planning to have the enterprise orbiting some alien world, but as I continued working on it, it seemed like the planet was taking up too much attention of the peice. So I removed that and added a more atmospheric space, which made the Enterprise pop and also gave me a good light source.</p>
<p>I added the painting to the sketching section, which I think pretty soon is going to have to be renamed the painting section!</p>

This drawing has got the record time for me on any one peice, a grand total of 35 hours of painstaking detailing and painting! All done is Photoshop CS5 on my Asus EP-121.</p>
<p>I think I'll have to come back to this one and give him a place to stand.</p>
